Meet the Artists
Juan Caceres (Tom Buchanan) — Juan was last seen on stage in Sweat at Old Academy Players. Prior to that, Juan focused on film acting, but like the siren's song, he could not resist the call back to live performance. Juan has honed his skills with well over a decade of stage experience which all started on this stage with Taming of the Shrew. When asked why he returned he said, "Film is great experience but, the stage is where life happens."
Larry Krevitz (George Wilson) is thrilled to able to act again. He has been active in community theatre for over twenty-five years. He has recently been “seen” In the R5 productions of G-d of Carnage and The Broken Hollow Banshee. Some of his other roles are Lt Markinson in A Few Good Men, Bill Fordham in August: Osage County, Reuben Flood in The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Poirot in Black Coffee, Duke in Death Takes a Holiday, Zack in A Chorus Line, Max in Lend Me a Tenor, and many more. When not on stage, Larry is a cosmetic dentist in Hatboro. Love to his wife, the ever patient Wendy, his children, and especially their children, who keep him perpetually young.
Nyiema Lunsford (Jordan Baker) returned to acting after taking a break to pursue a profession in counseling and psychology. Her stage debut was as The Other Woman in Phillips Mill’s production of Writer’s Block. She was last seen as Cynthia in Old Academy Player’s performance of Sweat. She is an active member of ActorsNet’s Play Reading Committee. Other ActorsNet credits include: The Big Bad Wolf (Girl 2), Dear Brutus (Lady Caroline), Seven Keys to Baldpate (Myra Thornhill), and Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. (Anne de Bourgh). Other stage credits include: Langhorne Players’s A Kid Like Jake (Nurse), Claudia Perry’s Horror Baby (Marisol), and play readings with New Feathers, Playwrights’ Bridge, and Playmate Playwrights. She can also be heard on Gtown Radio in vintage radio broadcasts. This will be Nyiema’s first performance with R5 Productions. She is thankful and excited to be a part of this production.
Nolan Maher (Nick Carraway) — Nolan is a Philly-based actor and musician who is making his voice acting debut with The Great Gatsby. Area theater credits include The Miser (La Flèche) Spinning Into Butter (Greg), and Much Ado About Nothing (Claudio) at The Stsgecrafters Theater; Barefoot in the Park (Paul) and Sweat (Jason) at Old Academy Players. When not pretending to be other people, he can be seen playing guitar and singing in various projects or printing lots of T-shirts.
John Neuman (Jay Gatsby) is excited to return to R5 after last performing in The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show. When he is not teaching English in Philadelphia, John can be found directing at Town and Country Players in Buckingham. Recent productions include The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Sound of Music. All my love to Abby, August, and Clementine.
LaPorscha Rodgers (Daisy Buchanan) is a Philadelphia native, and as an aspiring voice actress, is more than happy to be partaking in this radio play. She has done several stage plays and a few film projects. Her acting debut was as one of the “townspeople” in her alma mater’s (Penn State Abington) Spring production of To Kill a Mockingbird. More recently she was featured in a series called The Grounders and was a performer of the improv show Timeprov. The Great Gatsby Radio Play is her first gig of 2023 and she hopes to have many more.
Michael Worden (Director) You might remember Michael as the director of A Suitable Kind of Woman in our inaugural R5 Playhouse Series or Player 1 in The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show. Michael recently relocated from Los Angeles and has over 100 theatrical and film productions to his credit. Some of his directorial credits include Hay Fever, Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll, subUrbia and Drinking in America. As an actor, national touring credits include Into the Woods (Jack) and Footloose (Chuck). Other regional theatre credits include Anna Karenina (Stiva), The Baker’s Wife (Barnaby), Our Town (Joe Stoddard), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (McMurphy), A Chorus Line (Al Deluca), A Streetcar Named Desire (Stanley Kowalski), Next to Normal (Dr. Fine/Madden), Company (Peter) and Crimes of the Heart (Barnett Lloyd). Commercially, Michael has appeared in national campaigns for Little Caesars, REI, Halo Top and PowerAde.
